1 3/4 cup boiling water
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup butter (oleo)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups flour
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1 T cocoa
1 cup chocolate chips

Pour water over oatmeal and butter, let stand 10 minutes. Add sugar and mix well to blend. Add remaining ingredients and mix well, bake in 9×13 inch pan, at 350° for 30-40 minutes.

Frosting:
1/2 cup butter, melted
3 T milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup coconut
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Mix well together and spread over cake while cake is warm.
